Job summary

SME Careers, a fast-growing AI Data Services company and subsidiary of SuperAnnotate, seeks a Latvian Quality Assurance Lead for a remote hourly contractor role overseeing Latvian training projects. You will review AI-generated Latvian content, ensure quality against guidelines, and provide precise feedback to trainers and QAs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Latvian, Linguistics, Translation, or related field.
• Native or near-native Latvian with strong reading and writing skills.
• Strong English to follow guidelines and provide feedback in English.
• 3+ years of professional experience in Latvian writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA, AI training, education, annotation, or related language-review workflows.
• Experience leading or supporting remote teams is preferred.
• Comfortable with Discord, Google Sheets, Google Docs, trackers, dashboards, and project management systems.
• Experience with AI training, data annotation, LLM QA, or rubric-based evaluation is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Quality monitoring: spot-check Latvian items and identify issues; provide ongoing feedback and escalate when needed.
• Trainer/QA communication: update trainers on guidelines, project changes, workflows, and quality expectations.
• Question handling: respond to questions about Latvian wording, grammar, diacritics, and cultural context clearly and promptly.
• Trainer/QA activation management: reach out to inactive contributors and track follow-ups.
• Documentation: create Latvian project docs, style guides, trackers, FAQs, and onboarding materials.
• Onboarding and training: run calls to explain expectations, rubrics, and language style requirements.
• Quality alignment: ensure consistent application of Latvian guidelines and project updates.
• Process improvement: identify gaps and propose scalable QA processes for Latvian projects.
