Latitude Partners is seeking highly entrepreneurial attorneys to join our team as partner-owners. You will co-own a Latitude operating company with its own P&L, building a book of business and leading a team while delivering for clients nationwide.
This role is a business leadership position, not a traditional legal practice, with equity ownership and growth opportunities. You will manage engagements end to end, deepen client relationships, and act as the trusted proxy in selecting the right
Many excellent lawyers discover, somewhere along the way, that what they love most is the client side of practice: earning trust, understanding exactly what a client needs, and delivering. Latitude Partners do that full time — without practicing law. Latitude is seeking highly entrepreneurial attorneys to join our team as partner-owners.
As a Partner, you co-own a Latitude operating company with its own P&L. You build and deepen client relationships, serve as the client’s trusted proxy in selecting precisely the right attorneys for each engagement, and take full ownership of making sure every engagement goes well for both the client and the talent. You build your business your way and over time grow and lead your own team.
Your book is not limited by your own practice area or jurisdiction. Latitude’s talent spans essentially every practice area and market, so you can help clients — including colleagues and firms you already know — with far more of what they actually need. While Partners typically anchor in a home market, your clients can be anywhere.
Those who generate the work, rather than wait for the phone to ring. Demand comes to Latitude Partners because of the trust they’ve earned and the way they deliver: the reputation built over a career, the great experience their clients have, and the visibility they maintain through speaking, writing, and community presence. You can’t be passive. A strong network of legal decision‑makers is a significant accelerant, but what ultimately matters is the initiative to create your own opportunities and the follow‑through to turn them into lasting relationships.
Those who take extreme ownership and are dedicated to getting it right. The best Partners are phenomenal listeners who obsess over the right fit and the satisfaction of both client and talent. You own every engagement end to end, responding with calm urgency — fast, poised, and precise — including outside standard hours when it matters. Our value rests on being a trusted advisor, and that trust is earned through discretion and delivery.
Those who remember that the spotlight belongs to the client. When we do our job well, a law firm partner serves their own clients even better; a general counsel delivers for their organization and earns the credit. Some of our proudest work is quiet and confidential. It takes true confidence to go out and attract the work — and the security to then put the client first.
This role is demanding, and that’s the point. This is a different sport from practicing law. Your credentials and experience give you a clear head start, but what clients reward is performance: responsiveness, judgment, delivery. The role takes energy and relentless attention to detail; this is a build, not a wind‑down, and it requires full‑time professional focus. Practicing law on the side or managing other work commitments is incompatible with this opportunity.
The role offers considerable flexibility — you can work largely from a home office if you choose. It requires frequent local travel to meet clients and prospective clients (offices, professional events, the occasional good lunch) and occasional national travel for conferences and partner meetings.
