The Ellis School in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a temporary, part-time Latin instructor for Upper and Middle School from January to April 2027.

Qualifications

The Ellis School, the only pre-kindergarten to grade 12 independent all-girls day school in Pittsburgh, PA, is seeking a temporary, part-time Upper and Middle School Latin instructor from January to April 2027. Responsibilities will include teaching Upper and Middle School Latin courses. Other duties, including—but not limited to—advising, proctoring study halls, chaperoning, and committee work, are integral to the role of Middle and Upper School faculty members. Under the supervision of the Chair of the World Language Department, this position directly advances the Ellis mission by fostering global awareness, cultural competence, and confident communication skills in girls during their formative middle and upper school years, while contributing meaningfully to the collaborative and student-centered community that defines an Ellis education.
