Accelera in the United States is seeking a skilled Lathe Technician to join our manufacturing team. You will drive production efficiency by independently managing machine setups, selecting tooling, and performing rigorous quality inspections to ensure all components meet exact specifications.

The role requires a minimum of 5 years hands-on lathe experience, proven ability to hold tolerances to ±0.002 inches, and strong GD&T reading competency.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years hands-on lathe operation experience.
• Tolerance ability to ±0.002 inches.
• Strong ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T standards.
• Proficient with precision measuring instruments.
• Capable of end-to-end production run management from setup to inspection.

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints and job orders to determine feed rates, cutting speeds, and tooling requirements.
• Execute machine setups and calibrate fixtures to maintain high-precision output.
• Monitor machining operations in real-time to detect wear or malfunctions and minimize downtime.
• Perform detailed dimensional inspections using metrology tools to verify conformance to tolerances.
• Calculate machine adjustments and scribe reference lines for accurate material removal.
• Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts, to move heavy workpieces and tooling.
• Collaborate with the production team to troubleshoot equipment issues and improve reliability.
