Moog is seeking a Lathe Machinist I for the 3rd shift in Buffalo, NY. You will manufacture high-precision components for aerospace/defense, perform CNC lathe set-ups, and ensure close tolerances and quality.

The role emphasizes craftsmanship, detail, and continuous learning in a safety-conscious, supportive environment. You will be responsible for inspection, bias-free gauging, GD&T interpretation, and adherence to blueprints.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year experience as a general machinist; CNC lathe experience preferred.
• Ability to follow an escalation path as it applies to machining.
• Familiarity using measuring equipment including Micrometers and Dial Bore Gauges.
• Competency in reading and interpreting blueprints and written work instructions.

Responsabilités

• Perform set-ups and run parts on a CNC lathe with milling capabilities to close tolerances, fine finishes and complex geometry.
• Be responsible for inspection of all work performed, and setting up or adjusting gaging equipment.
• Interpret complex drawings, including GD&T blueprints, sketches and operation sheets.
