Lathe Machinist

Location: Conyers, Georgia
Job Type: Full-Time Salary: (Hourly $21-29+) Competitive, Based on Experience

Job Description: We are looking for a highly skilled machinist with experience operating manual and CNC machines to produce precision components. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Experience with specific machining equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate manual and CNC lathes.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Select appropriate tools, speeds, and feed rates for machining operations.
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality and dimensional specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machines as needed.
- Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and quality standards. Qualifications: Required:
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years as a machinist in a precision manufacturing environment.

Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in operating manual and CNC machines (mills, lathes, grinders, etc.).
- Blueprint Reading: Ability to interpret technical drawings and understand GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
- Quality Control: Familiarity with precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Work Ethic: Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Preferred Experience with the Following Equipment:
- Lathes: Okuma Genos Lathe, Mazak Lathe with Mazatrol Control

Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with CNC programming software & conversational programming.
- Knowledge of different materials, including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel. - Welding or fabrication experience is a plus.

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $21.00 - $29.00 Per Hour
