Job summary

Park Ridge Police Department is seeking qualified individuals to join our team, providing community policing services and maintaining public safety in Park Ridge. Certified entry candidates may be considered for accelerated entry.

Requirements include age 21–35, an associate degree or 60 semester hours, a valid driver’s license, and vision correctable to 20/20. Candidates must be a current full‑time certified officer or have been sworn recently, and be in good standing.

Qualifications

• Age 21–35 with exceptions per Illinois law.
• Associate degree or 60 semester hours from an accredited institution.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Vision correctable to 20/20 in both eyes.

Responsibilities

• Background investigation, oral interview, polygraph, psychological, physical agility, and medical examinations may be required.
