Job summary

Qualifications

• Equivalent to a high school diploma; experience/training may substitute.
• Two-year degree in law enforcement preferred.
• Possession of Police Certification from DPSST or ability to obtain within one year.
• LE training experience preferred and teamwork-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Conduct law enforcement, crime prevention and investigation activities.
• Enforce laws, ordinances, and constitutional rights within the county.
• Prepare and maintain accurate reports.
• Work with Canine Officers and their handlers.
