The Lane County Sheriff’s Office is seeking experienced patrol officers to serve diverse communities across urban, rural, coastal, and wilderness areas in Oregon. Lateral candidates may qualify for experience-based starting pay, paid leave, a take-home vehicle, and other incentives, subject to policy and eligibility.

Our division handles patrol, investigations, court security, and prisoner transport, with opportunities in specialized assignments such as Forest, Marine, and Dune Patrol.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience dealing with the public.
• Current Oregon DPSST patrol certification or equivalent out-of-state certification.
• Possession of a valid Oregon driver license at appointment time.

Responsabilités

• Respond to emergencies and incidents across urban, rural, coastal, and wilderness areas.
• Engage in patrol, investigations, court security, and prisoner transport duties.
• Support specialized units and participate in community safety initiatives.
