Location:

Duties:

• Work on employment aspects of transactions for private equity clients and strategic investors.
• Draft and negotiate employment agreements, offer letters, separation agreements, and restrictive covenant agreements.
• Conduct legal research to ensure compliance with applicable state law.
• Advise clients on structuring transactions, market practices, and legal considerations regarding wage and hour, discrimination, performance, discipline, leave of absence, and disability.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on due diligence calls, negotiate transaction documents, and analyze pre-litigation disputes and litigation matters.
• Prepare and finalize drafts of court and agency filings and responses.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in employment law, particularly in private equity or M&A contexts.
• Proven experience in drafting and negotiating employment-related agreements.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to practice in the state of New York or eligibility to obtain admission promptly.

Skills:

• Excellent interpersonal and client management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
