Job summary

Dow Jones & Co. is hiring two AI-literate translators for Spanish (Latin American) to join the Newswires team in New York City under a hybrid setup. You will improve English-to-Spanish autotranslation of financial news, build glossaries, and shape prompts to enhance quality and style.

Qualifications

• Native-level Spanish (C2)
• Strong understanding of Latin American culture
• Experience in LQA and MT Post-Editing (MTPE)
• Experience using CAT tools to build glossaries
• Excellent knowledge of financial & economic news/terminology in English and Spanish
• Experience with machine translation and GenAI
• Preferably experience in a financial-focused newsroom

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for R&D and QA for English-to-Spanish autotranslation of Dow Jones Newswires financial news
• Spot-check autotranslated output daily and document quality metrics
• Implement the correction policy for Spanish products
• Build and maintain glossaries
• Design, test, and refine prompts to improve translation quality
• Collaborate with Product, Editorial, customers, and partners
• Translate predefined templates for automated content and other translation tasks as needed
