Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Driver Trainer to establish the training culture at the delivery station and deliver hands-on instruction and drive-alongs. You will educate on safety, quality, and productivity, and work with various teams to ensure drivers meet standards.

The role requires lifting up to 49 pounds, 40-hour weeks with overtime, and travel within 50 miles. Prior Amazon experience and formal training experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
• High school or equivalent.
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• Can lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
• Work 40 hours/week, and overtime as required.
• Valid and active driver's license.
• Are 21 years of age or older.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Eligible to drive in accordance with DOT requirements.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Driver Qualification File.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate daily training classes for up to 30 people, including in-station classes and drive-alongs.
• Partner with Delivery Service Partners, Operations Managers, Area Managers, and Learning Teams to coordinate, facilitate, and measure training activities.
• Understand the processes, expectations, and training requirements for all drivers across programs.
• Provide timely reporting on trainings, compliance, safety, and maintenance duties.
• Educate and audit driver safety and compliance standards and related documentation.
• Track and monitor performance and identify retraining opportunities.
• Travel to multiple sites within 50 miles of the home station.
