Job summary

Walker Headhunters, LLC seeks a reliable Delivery Associate in Washington, DC to deliver packages safely and on time while providing excellent customer service. This is a full-time position with flexible weekend and holiday availability.

Shifts are 8-10 hours, four days a week on average; training is provided and uniform is supplied. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, and opportunities for bonuses.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older
• Able to lift and deliver packages up to 50 lbs
• Able to meet on time at a designated anchor point across Washington, D.C.
• Able to walk and push/pull a loaded hand truck to deliver packages across a ten-block radius
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Previous delivery experience is a plus but not required; training is provided!

Responsibilities

• Safely load, unload, and deliver packages by walking to customer addresses within a ten-block radius in all weather conditions.
• Deliver packages (Weighing up to 50 lbs) to customers on time and with care.
• Follow all company safety policies and traffic laws throughout all delivery stages from package pickup, transport, and delivery.
• Operate an electronic device/mobile phone for GPS and daily records of deliveries using apps.
• Contact the customers, when necessary, in order to deliver their packages in a safe location and follow their direction.
• Interact with customers and the public in a professional and positive manner.
• Maintain communication with dispatch throughout the day.
