Job summary

Keel, a leading precision manufacturer, seeks a Laser Track Technician II to independently perform dimensional inspections, alignments, and layout verification. This role collaborates closely with engineering and production to resolve dimensional and tooling issues.

You will set up and operate laser tracker systems, inspect large parts, interpret drawings using GD&T, develop measurement plans, analyze deviations, and generate detailed reports.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or technical certification preferred.
  • 3+ years of laser tracker or portable metrology experience.
  • Strong Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing interpretation skills.
  • Experience with metrology software.
  • Experience in large production environments preferred.

Responsibilities

Your Mission:

The Laser Track Technician II independently performs dimensional inspections, alignments, and layout verification. This position works closely with engineering and production teams to resolve dimensional and tooling issues.

Travel Requirements:

  • Between facilities as needed

Physical Requirements:

  • May be required to stand, walk, sit, reach/pull/push with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel regularly.
  • May lift or carry 50lbs. Weights exceeding 50lbs will require mechanical means to maneuver.
