Job summary
Thorlabs in Colorado is seeking a Laser Technician Level III to produce and test advanced photonics products in manufacturing and R&D. You will assemble and align optomechanical assemblies, handle delicate optics and fibers, and operate photonics and measurement equipment.
The role requires 5+ years in optics/electronics assembly, proficiency with measurement tools, and strong attention to quality. You will contribute to process improvements, train junior technicians, and support tight
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience assembling optics, fiber optics, or electronics in production.
- Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office; HS diploma required.
- Experience with optical measurement instruments preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and align precision photonics products.
- Handle delicate optics and fibers in controlled environments.
- Operate photonics equipment (test tools, counters, laser welder).
- Record test data and production documentation.
- Follow drawings and schematics for electro-optical assemblies.
- Perform incoming inspection.
