Job summary

VAA LLC is seeking a Laser Scan Technician to join our hybrid Minnesota team. You will capture high-quality laser scan data on project sites and support Revit modeling and drafting using point cloud data to create construction documents.

Travel up to 75% annually, including international trips, with safety training and maintenance of equipment. This role blends field scanning with precise modeling and project support aligned to VAA standards.

Qualifications

• Certificate in construction related design/drafting or higher OR at least one year of directly related experience.
• Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute scan projects with the Scanning team.
• Travel safely to project sites and conduct laser scanning.
• Identify areas needing additional scan coverage.
• Post-process scan data, register scans, and prepare point clouds.
• Develop Revit models and construction documentation per VAA standards.
• Complete safety training and follow safety protocols.
• Maintain laser scanning equipment.
• Communicate scheduling, workload, and progress with the team.
• Travel up to 75% of yearly hours, including some international travel.
