Job summary

Orchid, located in Arab, Alabama, is seeking an Operations Technician I in Laser Processing to support production of precision medical components. This role offers cross-training across laser and CNC-related tasks to ensure part quality and on-time delivery.

You will maintain process setup sheets, assist in simple laser programs, and monitor equipment for faults while following safety and Lean Manufacturing practices to optimize efficiency and cost.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• No prior experience required; manufacturing experience preferred.
• Able to follow procedures and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Maintain laser program setup and tooling sheets for production.
• Assist in generating simple laser programs.
• Inspect parts and ensure quality using calipers and gauges.
• Report faults and support Lean Manufacturing and safety initiatives.
• Follow work orders and safety rules.
• Support engineering and documentation tasks as needed.
