Job summary

MCM Brands in Red Wing, MN is seeking a Production Associate 2 - Laser Operator on the 1st shift (Mon–Thu 5:00am–3:00pm). The role involves operating laser engraving machines, setting up and adjusting parameters, and ensuring products meet quality standards.

You will work with YAG and CO2 lasers, enter speed and settings, prepare items for the next step, and assist with packaging and basic maintenance. Prior manufacturing experience is preferred, and lifting up to 25 lbs is required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Must read and understand work instructions, perform basic math, and make adjustments/minor repairs to equipment.
• Able to build working relationships with other employees.
• Able to maintain a clean and neat working environment.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods and lift up to 25lbs repetitively.

Responsibilities

• Operate YAG & CO2 lasers.
• Enter correct speed, frequency, and passes for products.
• Determine art size and input into the system.
• Set up and adjust machines for proper operation.
• Ensure proper supplies are used for printing.
• Read and follow manufacturing orders to meet specifications.
• Change tooling to accommodate products.
• May package products for shipping and ensure quality standards.
• Use system to report process completion for each order.
• Maintain equipment and perform preventative maintenance.
