Job summary

Kloeckner Metals Corporation is seeking a Laser Operator to produce high-quality parts in a safe environment. You will set up, operate, and perform basic programming tasks while ensuring equipment runs efficiently and meets customer specifications.

Responsibilities include equipment changeovers, inspections, data recording, and supporting team training. A focus on safety and adherence to procedures is essential to success in this role.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, routers, and other production documentation.
• Proficiency in basic math and measurements, including the use of hand-held measuring tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to operate laser equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to all relevant safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Set up production equipment and assist with changeovers to ensure smooth transitions between runs.
• Operate laser equipment to maintain efficient, quality output.
• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections to ensure specifications.
• Complete production control charts and analyze data for quality improvements.
• Train others in production procedures and safe operation of equipment.
• Maintain equipment and reporting of issues to supervisors.
