Olympic Steel in Gary, IN is seeking an experienced laser machine operator to set up and run laser cutting equipment and support production with general material handling.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of crane operation and lifting devices.
• Skilled at measuring machined features using a variety of measuring instruments.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1+ year of machine operation experience.

Responsibilities

• Sets up machine to proper specifications.
• Operates machine to cut materials specified by work order.
• Checks quality of product coming off machine.
• Packages material and prepares for shipment.
• General material handling/warehouse task.
