Job summary

Enjet Aero, LLC in Huber Heights, OH is seeking a Laser Operator for the night shift to produce jet engine parts using CNC laser cutters (Trumpf 5 Axis and Mitsubishi 5 Axis).

The position is 2nd shift, Monday–Thursday 4:00 pm – 2:30 am with a 20% night differential. Load parts, set up tooling, inspect finished parts, and support quality and production standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; CNC education preferred.
• Experience with laser equipment, tooling, and processes.
• Strong verbal communication and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented in a deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Load parts and operate lasers (Trumpf 5 Axis and/or Mitsubishi 5 Axis).
• Ensure continuous production of parts that meet customer expectations.
• Perform minor edits of laser programs.
• Perform tooling setup per work instructions.
• Inspect completed parts using micrometers, indicators, calipers, etc.
• Maintain quality standards through understanding of the Quality Management System.
• Monitor and document operational and performance issues and provide feedback to supervisor.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with peers, supervisor and other staff.
• Other duties as directed by supervisor.

Position Description: The Laser Operator produces parts by operating computer numerical control laser cutting machines. This is a 2 nd shift position, Monday – Thursday 4:00 pm – 2:30 am. Night Shift receives a 20% shift differential.

• Load parts and operate lasers (Trumpf 5 Axis and/or Mitsubishi 5 Axis)

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary CNC education preferred
• Working knowledge of laser equipment, tooling, and processes
• Strong verbal communication and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and ability to deal with complexity
• Capable of working in a customer-focused, deadline-driven environment while maintaining a positive attitude
