Job summary

Metalcraft Of Mayville, Inc. is seeking a Laser Operator on 1st and 2nd shifts to run Bystronic and Mitsubishi CO2 lasers, de-nest parts, and ensure parts meet tight quality standards.

You will load materials, perform setups, and assist other operators as needed in a Just-in-time fabrication environment. Qualified candidates will have laser/CNC experience, blueprint reading skills, basic shop math, and the ability to use measurement tools.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong laser or CNC operating background.
• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measurement tools.
• Competent in basic shop math and G/M codes.
• Microsoft Office proficiency and teamwork.
• Forklift operation capability.

Responsibilities

• Operate Bystronic and Mitsubishi CO2 Lasers and de-nest parts.
• Check material thickness and load material into laser stocker.
• De-nest, remove oxide, and complete work to time/quality standards.
• Train others on laser setup and operation as needed.
• Troubleshoot minor program and alignment issues.
• Cross-train across multiple laser platforms and cells.
• Record production data and material issues in logs.
• Operate forklift safely and follow safety standards.
