Job summary

The Village Companies - MCL Industries Division in Wisconsin is seeking a Brake Press Operator to cut sheet metal and nest materials, read blueprints, and inspect parts from a laser process. You will stage material, read prints, and perform preventative maintenance while upholding safety standards.

You’ll work Monday–Thursday, 2:00pm–Midnight with a pay range of $24.00–$29.00 per hour based on experience. Benefits include comprehensive health and retirement options, on-site amenities, and

Qualifications

Laser experience is strongly recommended.
Awareness of gases utilized for laser cutting process along with relative nozzle sizes for materials.
Understanding of how to read blue prints and parts drawings
Computer skills
Knowledge of manufacturing basics
Ability to follow direction
Flexible and can quickly adjust to change
Basic use of inspection tooling (tape measures, calipers, etc)
Good math skills
Knowledge of different types of material
Being aware of your surroundings
Being accountable and willing to have a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

Follow safety guidelines within a fast passed work environment.
Ensure work area is clean and organized.
Ensure daily, bi-weekly and quarterly PMs are completed.
Basic Laser machine operation. (Gas changes, correct nozzles and condition settings)
Tune, adjust and refine laser cutting conditions to produce acceptable laser cut metal parts per drawing and company cutting standards to ensure quality of cut.
Perform forklift operations loading and unloading Laser
Establish a proactive mindset to maximize uptime during work hours.
Look for process improvements while performing daily tasks to improve efficiencies.
Understand how the machine works and reacts to different metals.
Ensure Jobs are started and stopped in the ERP system.
Work with Inventory team on scrap or inventory needs.
Move to the work vs waiting for the work to come to you.
Be aware of surroundings during work hours.
Adhere to company policy and ensure procedures are followed.
