Job summary

Owen Industries in Fargo, ND is seeking a Laser Machine Operator for 2nd shift to operate laser cutting and engraving equipment, set up machines, load materials, monitor the process, and maintain quality standards.

This role requires routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and documenting production activities while adhering to safety policies. A $3,000 sign-on bonus and growth opportunities at a long-standing steel manufacturer are offered.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Experience operating laser cutting or machine operating equipment is required.
  • Ability to read technical drawings/blueprints is required.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks with precision.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate laser cutting machines according to job specifications and production schedules.
  • Load raw materials and secure them properly to ensure accurate cutting and engraving.
  • Monitor machine operation continuously to detect and resolve any issues or defects during the cutting process.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of laser equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
  • Inspect finished products for quality assurance and report any deviations or defects to the supervisor.
  • Maintain accurate production records and document any machine malfunctions or maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.

Laser Operator- 2nd Shift

Salary Range: $22.00 To $27.00 Hourly

Hours: 4:00 pm - 2:30 am (M-TH with OT available as needed)

Pay: $22-$27/HR + $2.00 Shift Differential

Bonus- $3,000 Sign-On Bonus ($250 on hire, $750 at 90 days, $1,000 at 6 months, and $1,000 at 1 year)

Training: Training will be on 1st shift for 2-4 weeks working 5:30 am - 4:00 pm M-TH

About the Role

The Laser Machine Operator on the 2nd shift plays a critical role in the manufacturing process by operating and maintaining laser cutting and engraving machinery to produce high-quality components and products.
