Job summary

Pen Manufacturing is seeking a Laser Operator for the 1st shift (6 AM–2 PM) in Anaheim, CA. You will set up and run laser cutting equipment to produce precision components for aerospace, construction, and infrastructure sectors.

The role requires blueprint literacy, mechanical aptitude, and strict adherence to safety and quality standards. You will work with engineers and production teams in a fast-paced environment, focusing on accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement to meet tight

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; machinery operation certification a plus.
• Experience with laser cutting machinery or CNC equipment in a manufacturing setting preferred.
• Detail-oriented and able to read blueprints and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Set up laser cutting machines per work orders and blueprints.
• Operate laser cutting equipment to fabricate parts from metal and other materials.
• Monitor machine performance and adjust laser power, speed, and focus for quality and waste reduction.
• Troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime and maintain production flow.
• Inspect finished parts with precision measuring tools to ensure conformance and quality.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Set Up for Success: Configure laser cutting machines based on detailed work orders, blueprints, and technical specifications, ensuring precise setup and calibration.
• Operate with Precision: Run laser cutting machines to create parts from metal, plastics, and other materials, making sure each cut aligns with strict project requirements.
• Monitor and Optimize: Continuously monitor the performance of the laser equipment, adjusting settings such as laser power, speed, and focus to ensure optimal results and minimal material waste.
• Troubleshoot and Resolve: Quickly address any technical or operational issues to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.
• Inspect and Ensure Quality: Use precision measuring tools to inspect parts and ensure they meet quality standards, making any necessary adjustments before proceeding to the next phase.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Certification in machinery operation, CNC programming, or manufacturing is a plus.
• Experience: Prior experience with laser cutting machinery, CNC equipment, or similar roles in a manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
