Job summary

MEC (Mayville Engineering Company, Inc.) is seeking a Laser Operator to read job orders, set up laser parameters, and program the machine to cut steel parts. You will use the computer to call up part numbers and verify parts with precision measuring devices.

Responsibilities include routine machine maintenance, simple laser programming, and assisting with scheduling nests. The role requires reading blueprints, reliability, and teamwork within a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 2–3 years related experience.
• Computer understanding.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Ability to train and work with others (Team Concept).

• Schedules machine maintenance with Maintenance Department.
• Cross train Laser take-off and Laser Operator II employees as assigned by Supervisor.
• All Other Duties as assigned
