Job summary

ArtiFlex Group in Sterling Heights, MI is seeking a Laser Operator to join our Aerospace, Defense & Prototype team. You will set up, calibrate, and operate 5-axis laser cutting equipment, read blueprints, and ensure part quality for critical programs.

We value meticulous, hands-on contributors who can troubleshoot, participate in continuous improvement, and support high-tolerance manufacturing. This on-site role includes competitive benefits and employee ownership through ESOP.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Laser Operator experience.
• Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and job orders.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Set up, calibrate, and operate laser cutting equipment (5 axis).
• Select and load materials for each job.
• Program machines for cutting and engraving operations.
• Read and interpret blueprints and job orders.
• Inspect finished parts to ensure quality.
• Monitor laser operations and troubleshoot issues.
• Perform routine maintenance on laser equipment and systems.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
