Job summary

ARCH Medical Solutions - Seabrook is seeking an experienced Laser Marking Technician responsible for programming, setup, operation, and process improvement of laser marking/etching machines in a manufacturing environment.

This role requires reading blueprints, performing inspections, fixture development with Engineering, and maintaining work instructions and housekeeping. High school diploma; familiarity with calipers and gaging preferred; attention to detail essential.

Qualifications

Description

Summary:

This position is responsible for the programming, setup, operation, and process improvement of various laser marking/etching machines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the set up and operation of various laser marking machines.
• Perform laser marking on standard production and custom orders.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspection of all laser markings/etchings.
• Program and determine fixturing needs for new and custom products.
• Work with Engineering to assist with programming and setup designs.
• Work with Engineering to assist with the design and creation of fixturing for optimum productivity and quality.
• Creates, updates, and maintains accurate work instructions for new and existing programs.
• Maintain fixture storage controls.
• Perform routine maintenance activities for equipment as per work instructions.
• Detect and report discrepancies or questionable conditions to the Department Supervisor.
• Training of new team members and operators.
• Adhere to company safety requirements.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
• Assure that assigned activities are performed in accordance with Seabrook Quality System procedures.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Previous experience with laser marking technologies preferable.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Experienced in use of caliper, OC and gaging for dimensional inspection.
• Excellent computer skills and proficiency with MS Office and the internet.
• High level of attention to detail.

• Lifting/carrying Maximum lbs.: 50
• Regularly required to stand, reach, and move about the facility
