Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.
• Basic computer knowledge and ability to perform computer functions related to the job.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Commitment to safe work practices in a metal fabrication setting.
• Ability to adapt to changes and work efficiently to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Operator with setups and operations on Mazak and Mitsubishi CO2 Lasers.
• Use grinders and sanders to improve quality on parts.
• De-nesting of laser cut parts and removing laser oxide from parts.
• Cross train across the Laser department.
• Properly receive and store steel.
• Maintain general housekeeping of the department.
• Perform work to time standards and quality expectations.
• Identify and report material, production and quality issues.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards.
