Job summary

Komatsu America Corp. in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a trainee to join our field service program focused on installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment at customer sites.

You'll progress through structured learning and on-the-job training to develop foundational technical, safety, and customer service skills, with potential advancement to a Field Service Engineer role.

Onsite position with overtime and travel as needed to meet customer requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.
• Demonstrated aptitude and willingness to learn in a technical service environment.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in structured training to develop technical proficiency in preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Assist on-site installation, maintenance and repair activities per procedures and safety requirements.
• Learn to use service tools and software, including Windows applications and data analysis tools.
• Support root cause analysis by gathering data and documenting findings.
• Provide logistics support for parts and documentation of replacement activity.
• Maintain training schedules and track on-the-job development.
• Communicate issues to supervisors to support timely resolution.
• Work overtime as needed to meet business and customer requirements.
