Job summary

Alamo Group Inc. in Wooster, Ohio, seeks a Laser Operator to fabricate metal components from sheet and structural steel, following work orders and drawings under general supervision.

You will set up laser and plasma cutting tables, operate related machinery, and ensure pieces meet dimensions and specifications. Responsibilities include loading materials, using measuring tools to verify layout, performing first article inspections, and maintaining quality while preventing scrap.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of fabrication experience.
• General knowledge of fabrication methods and materials.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work overtime/weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate laser and other fabrication equipment to fabricate Wausau products.
• Moves material with hoist or forklift and secures material in fixtures and/or tables.
• Aligns and verifies positioning using measuring instruments to determine reference points and compute layout dimensions.
• Completes first article inspections and verifies completed work pieces for defects.
