Job summary

Avalign Technologies in Warsaw, IN is seeking a Laser Etch/Engrave Operator for a 3rd shift. You will set up and operate a Laser Etch machine to engrave/etch metal parts and maintain production quality.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, programming the laser, inspecting parts, and documenting work orders. Join a team focused on precision and reliability in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and use calipers, micrometers, height gauge, depth micrometers.
• Read and interpret blueprints to determine appropriate operation.
• Able to check parts on the comparator and the micro vu.
• Understanding of programming for Laser Etch; previous related experience required.
• Strong math and computer skills; fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain laser equipment, hand tools, fixtures and jigs.
• Check complete orders in Laser Etching area for paperwork accuracy, verify count.
• Run production in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
• Performs setup for parts according to blueprints and guidelines including programming and tooling.
• Read and interpret blueprints, inspection check-sheets and instructions.
• Use basic inspection tools to perform quality checks on parts as outlined by AQL.
• Maintains and ensures accurate counts on completed parts and scrapped parts; completes production paperwork.
• Program laser equipment for operation.
• Reports key job status to Departmental Supervisor or Manufacturing Manager.
• Interface with Visual Labor Entry system and monitor work orders.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do:

• Runs production in accordance with established procedures and guidelines
• Performs setup for parts according to blueprints and guidelines including programming and tooling
• Read and interpret blueprints, inspection check-sheets and instructions
• Use basic inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, height stands to perform quality checks on parts as outlined by AQL and work instructions.
• Maintains and ensures accurate counts on completed parts and scrapped parts; completes production paperwork and makes required entries into company database
• Program laser equipment for operation
• Reports key job status to Departmental Supervisor or Manufacturing Manager
