Job summary

Avalign Technologies Inc. in Warsaw, IN is seeking a Laser Etch/Engrave Operator on a 3rd shift. You will set up and operate the Laser Etch machine to engrave/etch metal parts, reading blueprints and verifying orders for accuracy.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints to determine operations.
• Ability to read calipers, micrometers, height gauge, depth micrometers for quality checks.
• Understanding of programming for Laser Etch; previous related experience required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain laser equipment, hand tools, fixtures and jigs.
• Verify paperwork accuracy and counts for orders in Laser Etching area.
• Run production following established procedures and guidelines.
• Set up parts according to blueprints, including programming and tooling.
• Read and interpret blueprints, inspection sheets and instructions.
• Perform quality checks using calipers, micrometers, height stands.
• Maintain accurate counts and complete production paperwork in company database.
• Program laser equipment for operation.
• Report job status to supervisor or manufacturing manager.
• Interface with Visual Labor Entry system and monitor work orders.
• Comply with company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

We are looking for a Laser Etch/ Engrave Operator to join our Warsaw, IN location on a 3rd shift schedule. You will set up and operate Laser Etch machine to engrave/etch metal parts.

What You’ll Do:

• Operate and maintain laser equipment, hand tools, fixtures and jigs


• Check complete orders in Laser Etching area for paperwork accuracy, verify count


• Runs production in accordance with established procedures and guidelines


• Performs setup for parts according to blueprints and guidelines including programming and tooling


• Read and interpret blueprints, inspection check-sheets and instructions


• Use basic inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, height stands to perform quality checks on parts as outlined by AQL and work instructions.


• Maintains and ensures accurate counts on completed parts and scrapped parts; completes production paperwork and makes required entries into company database


• Program laser equipment for operation


• Reports key job status to Departmental Supervisor or Manufacturing Manager


• Interface with Visual Labor Entry system and monitor work orders


• Comply with all company policies and procedures


• Other duties as assigned.
