Job summary

Avalign Technologies is seeking a Laser Etch/Engrave Operator for our Warsaw, IN facility on a 1st shift schedule. You will set up and operate Laser Etch equipment to engrave metal parts, ensuring accuracy and quality throughout the process.

You will read blueprints, program the laser, perform tool setup, and inspect parts with calipers and gauges. Join a team that values precision, safety, and continuous improvement in a controlled environment.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints to determine operation.
• Understand programming for Laser Etch; prior related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain laser equipment and supporting tools.
• Verify paperwork accuracy and counts for laser etching orders.
• Set up parts from blueprints; program tooling for laser etch operations.

• Record production data and monitor job status in systems.

We are looking for a Laser Etch/ Engrave Operator to join our Warsaw, IN location on a 1st shift schedule. You will set up and operate Laser Etch machine to engrave/etch metal parts.

What You’ll Do:

• Operate and maintain laser equipment, hand tools, fixtures and jigs
• Check complete orders in Laser Etching area for paperwork accuracy, verify count
• Runs production in accordance with established procedures and guidelines
• Performs setup for parts according to blueprints and guidelines including programming and tooling
• Read and interpret blueprints, inspection check-sheets and instructions
• Use basic inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, height stands to perform quality checks on parts as outlined by AQL and work instructions.
• Maintains and ensures accurate counts on completed parts and scrapped parts; completes production paperwork and makes required entries into company database
• Program laser equipment for operation
• Reports key job status to Departmental Supervisor or Manufacturing Manager
• Interface with Visual Labor Entry system and monitor work orders
• Comply with all company policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned.
