Job summary

We’re looking for a Laser Electronics Applications Engineer to join our well-established team. You’ll help laser engineers integrate our OEM drivers and temperature controllers into their

Qualifications

• Requires a 2-year technical degree or equivalent experience and two years experience in B2B customer service.
• Understands and can troubleshoot basic analog and digital electronic circuits and read schematics
• Familiarity with LabVIEW programs and USB interface software a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Ask the right questions to understand client’s needs and goals remotely via email, phone and video calls.
• Guide new clients to the best fit product by learning about their needs and recommending which products will accomplish what they need.
• Imagine a customer setup in an optics lab or field and diagnose problems, offering solutions with complex troubleshooting.
• Work with the Account Manager to determine client’s technical challenges and the best strategy to earn each design win.
• Examine warranty claims and handle returns and exchanges (RMA rate <0.1%).
• Communicate with clear written and verbal English to US and international customers.
• Growth opportunities: assist engineering with testing, update data sheets, design/test product variations, travel to Photonics West.
