Job summary

Aerotek is hiring an Underground Utility - Pipe Layer for a contract-to-hire role in Gambrills, MD. You will set up pipe lasers and rotary lasers, install gravity sewer, storm drain, and water lines, and work with groundwater as needed.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of pipe laying experience, reads blueprints, and can operate heavy equipment. This onsite outdoor position offers a path to long-term opportunities and a focus on safety and quality on scale projects.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years pipe laying experience.
• Ability to read blueprints for utility construction.
• Experience in wastewater management and civil excavation.

Responsibilities

• Set up pipe lasers and rotary lasers for accurate installation.
• Install gravity sewer, storm drain, and water lines efficiently.
• Work with groundwater conditions as required.
• Read and interpret blueprints related to underground utility construction.
• Operate heavy equipment and excavators safely and effectively.
