G&W Products in Fairfield, OH is hiring a reliable Laser Assistant/Grinder Operator to support our 1st and 2nd shift teams. The role involves assisting production with finishing laser-cut and welded parts, performing dressing and grinding, and helping meet quality and production goals.

Candidates should be safety-focused, able to follow instructions, comfortable with hand, pneumatic, and power tools, and have sheet metal experience preferred.

About the Role: As a Laser Assistant/Grinder Operator, you will help Operations with daily production tasks and the finishing of laser-cut and or weld products. This includes examining, sorting, grinding, moving, and preparing parts to support quality and production goals.

What You’ll Do:

• Perform part dressing and grinding as needed
• Remove material skeletons and finished parts
• Verify product quantities and dimensions
• Check that products are correctly tagged
• Transfer parts to designated areas
• Use pneumatic and power tools safely and efficiently
• Sheet metal experience preferred

What We’re Looking For:

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to meet the physical demands of business needs daily, including lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs. multiple times a day
• Must be able to sit/stand for extended periods of time
• Must be able to withstand extended exposure to heat
