Job summary

Enpro Inc. is seeking a hands-on assembler for its Klozure oil seals production line in Town of Palmyra, NY. The role focuses on assembling parts, inspecting products, packaging, and supporting material handling and inventory control to ensure smooth production.

The position is a 1st shift, 6am-2:30pm, Monday through Friday, with benefits including medical/dental/vision, 401(k) matching, and an on-site fitness center. Lifting up to 30 lbs and possible use of a lift truck are required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble Klozure oil seals and close assembled products according to specifications.

Join our team manufacturing high-quality industrial sealing products. This hands-on role involves assembling Klozure oil seals, performing product inspections, packaging finished goods, coordinating materials for production, and supporting inventory and material handling activities.

Candidates with manufacturing experience and those with metal fabrication, machining, welding, or related industrial backgrounds.

SCHEDULE:

• 1st Shift: 6am-2:30PM (Monday-Friday)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Coordinates components for inventory controls as well as items to be issued to final assembly.
2. Manufactures Klozure oil seals including: the assembly of components, closing of assembled products, product identification, and any other post closing operations per customer requirement.
3. Performs in-process and final product inspections as required per order and/or work instructions. Inspections may require a visual and/or dimensional verification requiring the use of various measuring devices.
4. Packages and identifies product for shipment and/or for stock inventory per associated work instructions.
5. Material handling as required may require use of Lift Truck.
6. Ability to read a tape measure and use other measuring instruments

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Keeps work area clean.
2. Completes all associated documentation as deemed necessary by Supervisor.
3. Adheres to all plant safety rules and guidelines.
4. Performs other jobs as assigned by Supervisor.
5. Performs routine and preventative maintenance including but not limited to the oiling and care of machines.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS: Must be able to read adjustable measuring devices as close tolerances must be observed in grinding and sanding parts. Must be able to do heavy lifting.

POSTURE: Standing, some stooping and bending

MAXIMUM WEIGHT TO BE LIFTED: Up to 30 lbs., anything over 30 lbs. requires two people or mechanical means.

FREQUENCY PER SHIFT: Up to 10 times per day.

REPETITIVE MOTION TASKS: Feeding parts.

DURATION OF SHIFT: 10%

WORKING CONDITIONS: Dirt, (dust), noise, water, oil, grease, and chemical solution.

These considerations can cause offered compensation to vary. The hiring range for this position is typically $24.37 - $25.91 hourly. Actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
