Millerbernd Manufacturing Company in Winsted, MN is seeking a Large Press Operator 1 for 2nd shift or weekend shift. You will operate a large press brake to bend and shape sheet metal, read blueprints, and perform in-process inspections. Training on 1st shift may be required.

The role offers hourly pay $23.06–$27.03, plus an incentive Freight Train Profit Sharing and shift differentials. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, 401(k) with match, PTO and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and prints.
• Ability to perform basic shop math and use measuring devices.

The Opportunity: The Large Press Operator 1 is responsible for using a large press brake to bend, shape, cut and manipulate sheet metal and metal plates. This is for the new AccurPress on 1st shift.

Title: Large Press Operator1
Location: Winsted, MN
Salary Range:$23.06 - $27.03/hour (non-exempt)

Incentive bonus opportunity: Freight Train Profit Sharing - Average of +$3.50/hour based on meeting goals
Shift Schedule: 2nd shift: Monday - Thursday 3pm - 1am or Weekend shift: Friday - Sunday 5am - 5pm. (Must be open to training on 1st shift for 6-8 weeks.)
Shift Differential: 2nd shift - $1.50/hour, Weekend shift - $2.50/hour

As a Large Press Operator1 , you will:

• Operates a press brake to manufacture shafts from sheet metal or metal plates
• Performs quality inspection of material before commencing process
• Loads and feeds material into the press
• Reads and verifies parts are consistent with print specifications
• Performs in-process inspection/quality checks
• Assists in machine set-ups and changeovers
• Inputs basic machine settings and makes minor machine adjustments
• Accurately labels all parts for routing to next operation
• Performs job wanding
• Escalates equipment and quality issues
• Performs forming process for both round and sided shafts
• Monitors the production board scheduling direction to perform tasks in the designated sequence
• Maintains area cleanliness
• Notify supervisor or lead machine operator of defective materials and machine malfunctions

Role Qualifications as a Large Press Operator1:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Skill of effective and appropriate verbal and written communication skills in English
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Ability to perform basic shop math functions
• Ability to use forklift, hoist, crane and other handling equipment
• Ability to operate various power and hand tools
• Ability to use various measuring devices; tape measures, squares, and calipers
• Ability to work under limited supervision using standardized practices and/or methods
• Ability to set up and safely operate equipment
• Ability to work with others as part of a high-performance team
• Ability to adapt to changing work priorities
