Job summary

Electric Motor & Contracting Co., Inc. seeks First Class Large Motor Mechanics to disassemble, reassemble and test motors, pumps and generators up to 12,000 HP. You will perform test runs on rebuilt units and handle related mechanical tasks in a state-of-the-art facility.

We require a high school diploma, 5+ years hands-on experience, ability to read drawings, and physical stamina. Candidates must provide their own tools; testing equipment is supplied by the company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 5 years hands-on experience disassembling, troubleshooting, and reassembling motors, pumps, and generators.
• Ability to read drawings and interpret specifications.
• Must be physically able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Willingness to work overtime, including weekends/holidays, to meet customer needs.
• Must provide own tools (testing equipment provided by company).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

We are currently seeking First Class Large Motor Mechanics.

Job Description

• Disassembly and reassembly of motors, pumps, and generators up to 12,000 HP (13.2kw Voltage).
• Perform test runs on rebuilt motors.
• Miscellaneous mechanical tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience disassembling, troubleshooting, and reassembling motors, pumps, and generators.
• Ability to read drawings and interpret specifications.
• Must be physically able to safely operate equipment, able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and capable of standing/stooping/kneeling for long periods of time.
• We are a service industry on call to our customers 24/7/365. To meet our customers' needs, employees must be able to work overtime as needed, including extending hours outside of the assigned shift. This also includes weekends/holidays.
• Must provide own tools (testing equipment is provided by the company).
• Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
