The Large Loss Resource Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting large loss and catastrophe response efforts across multiple locations. This position coordinates the equipment, trailers, vendors, fleet assets, crews, and logistics needed to ensure teams can mobilize quickly and effectively.

This is a hands-on, operational role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, solves logistical challenges, and takes ownership of response readiness. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, resourceful, and comfortable supporting operations both behind the scenes and in the field during large loss and CAT events.

What You'll Do
Large Loss & CAT Response
  • Coordinate resources, crews, equipment, trailers, and logistics for large loss and CAT response efforts across multiple locations.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for operational coordination during large-scale restoration projects and emergency deployments.
  • Deploy to CAT and large loss events as needed to support mobilization, field setup, resource management, and demobilization.
  • Provide after-hours response support and troubleshoot logistical challenges during active events.
Equipment, Fleet & Deployment Readiness
  • Ensure response trailers, fleet assets, generators, drying equipment, PPE, consumables, and specialty equipment remain organized and deployment-ready.
  • Maintain inventory systems, deployment checklists, and conduct routine readiness audits of trailers, warehouses, and equipment.
  • Coordinate repairs, preventative maintenance, DOT inspections, registrations, and other fleet and trailer compliance needs.
  • Coordinate the movement of equipment, trailers, and resources between company locations and project sites.
Vendor & Resource Coordination
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and subcontractors needed for large loss and emergency response operations.
  • Maintain emergency vendor contacts and resources to support rapid deployment.
  • Coordinate equipment rentals, fuel, lifts, scaffolding, transportation, specialty equipment, and other operational services.
  • Support Operations Managers and Project Managers with resource planning, equipment needs, and project logistics.
Field & Team Support
  • Assist with onboarding and operational orientation for temporary labor and traveling crews during CAT events.
  • Maintain applicable certifications and support training on aerial lifts, scissor lifts, forklifts, and jobsite safety practices.
  • Promote operational safety standards for fleet assets, trailers, equipment, and deployment activities.
  • Provide hands‑on operational support during high‑volume events and assist with other response needs as required.
What We're Looking For
  • High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations, logistics, restoration, construction, emergency response, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
  • Experience in the restoration, construction, mitigation, or disaster response industry strongly preferred.
  • Relevant industry, equipment, safety, or restoration certifications preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities, locations, vendors, and teams simultaneously.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to make decisions in fast‑moving situations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to work effectively with field teams, vendors, managers, and company leadership.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to take ownership of operational readiness and follow through on issues until they are resolved.
  • Comfortable working in an environment where priorities can change quickly during emergency and catastrophe response events.
Schedule & Travel

This is a full‑time position with a typical schedule of 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, approximately 45 hours per week. Because this role supports large loss and catastrophe response operations, flexibility is essential. The position may require extended hours, evenings, weekends, and after‑hours availability when emergency events occur.

Travel is required. While much of the travel may be local or between company locations, out‑of‑area and overnight travel will be required during certain large loss and CAT deployments.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

This position works in both office and field environments. While many responsibilities are administrative and operational in nature, the Large Loss Resource Coordinator will periodically work at warehouses, project sites, and catastrophe response locations.
