Large Loss Property Field Adjuster (Washington)

Apply now for the Large Loss Property Field Adjuster position in Washington

We are seeking a highly skilled and independent Lead Level Property Claims Adjuster to investigate and manage complex property claims. This role involves determining liability, reviewing coverages, arranging appraisals, and settling claims. The ideal candidate will work primarily in the field, handling complex homeowner property claims across Washington state, with a preference for candidates located anywhere in WA. A fleet vehicle is provided.

This is a full-time, remote position, reporting to a Large Loss Senior Manager. You will spend approximately 80% of your time in the field, interacting directly with customers, with occasional travel to office locations for meetings, training, or cultural events.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range: $86,000 - $142,000. Compensation varies based on job level and location. Relocation support is available for eligible candidates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate high exposure claims by contacting relevant parties and checking for prior claims and environmental exposures.
  • Participate in High Damage Reviews to address coverage issues and exposure.
  • Handle both first-party and third-party claims across multiple policy types and endorsements.
  • Conduct on-site inspections, evaluate damages, and negotiate claims with insureds, claimants, and attorneys.
  • Respond to customer inquiries, make decisions, and close files accordingly.
  • Interpret policies, coverages, and claim histories to determine coverage applicability.
  • Make independent decisions, seek assistance when necessary, and communicate claim status proactively.
  • Mentor less experienced adjusters and participate in projects as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Experience handling multi-line claims, including complex claims over $50,000.
  • Extensive knowledge of policies and endorsements.
  • Ability to provide customer-driven solutions efficiently and effectively.
Licenses and Travel
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required.
  • State-specific property casualty licensing required.
  • Up to 50% travel, with up to 75% for catastrophe response.
Physical and Working Conditions
  • Ability to ascend ladders, navigate confined spaces, and lift objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Work in various environments, including outdoor elements and noisy or hazardous conditions.
Additional Qualifications
  • Advanced Xactimate skills required.
  • 5+ years of field property claims experience required.
