Job summary

National General is seeking a Large Loss Property Desk Adjuster – Senior Consultant II (MST/PST hours). We seek candidates with 2+ years of experience in large loss claims. Base compensation is $41.49–$50.77 per hour, with incentive potential and a path for growth.

Responsibilities

• Recognize and identify key components of residential construction and repair, including structural integrity and home systems.
• Identify customer needs and work to meet those needs using appropriate customer service skills.
• Determine subrogation or fraud potential and how to handle.
• Demonstrate broad understanding of insurance policies written by the company, the industry, and departmental relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Handles investigation regarding all aspects of homeowners first party claims (coverage, damages and subrogation) with the exercise of discretion and independence within increased level of authority
• Applies increased experience or a rotation into a specialty position (coverage, investigation specialist, litigation, large loss, water mitigation, desk review)
• For claims involving fraud or subrogation, partners with assigned representatives from those areas to achieve best outcome
• Recognizes and identifies key components of residential construction and repair, including structural integrity and home systems
• Identifies customer needs and works to meet those needs using appropriate customer service skills
• Determines subrogation or fraud potential and how to handle
• Demonstrates broad understanding of insurance policies written by the company, the industry, and organizational relationships within the company and department

Compensation

• Base compensation offered for this role is: Inside Desk Adjuster Sr Cons II (Non-Exempt): $41.49 - $50.77
• Total compensation for this role is comprised of several factors, including the base compensation outlined above, plus incentive pay (i.e. commission, bonus, etc.) if applicable for the role.
