Job summary

PrintWorkers in Merrillville, IN is seeking an experienced Large Format Printer/Operator for 1st shift. The role requires hands-on operation of digital large-format printers and work with PVC, foam core, and vinyl. This is a direct hire opportunity offering comprehensive benefits.

The ideal candidate will set up, calibrate, and run equipment, read job tickets, monitor performance, and ensure quality. Laminating and mounting support is also part of the job duties.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating large-format digital printers.
• Experience printing on PVC, foam core, vinyl, and similar substrates.
• Experience with Vutek or Durst large-format printers preferred.
• Knowledge of Onyx or Caldera RIP software.
• Laminating and mounting experience preferred.
• Experience with Zünd cutting systems is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate digital large-format printing equipment.
• Calibrate and prepare equipment prior to production.
• Read and follow job tickets, specifications, and production instructions.
• Monitor equipment and troubleshoot print-quality or machine issues.
• Perform quality inspections to ensure finished products meet specifications.
• Assist with laminating and mounting printed materials.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
