Job summary

ARC Document Solutions is seeking a Print and Scan Production Operator in San Diego to receive and process wide-format print work using small and large-format printers and scanners.

The role is hands-on, requiring expert knowledge of pre-press, printing, cutting, finishing, scanning, and installation, with emphasis on large-format digital printing.

Candidates should have at least 3 years in printing/scanning production, ability to lift 50 lbs, and basic computer skills, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in printing and scanning production.
• Able to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Must be able to read a standard tape measure.
• Willing to work overtime when needed.
• Experience with large-format printing and finishing.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive, process, and maintain orders, prioritizing based on customer needs and machine capabilities.
• Process PDFs and graphics files from various sources.
• Ensure resources (media, fonts, graphics) are available.
• Evaluate output and adjust for image quality.
• Troubleshoot printing/process issues.
• Inspect finished work for sharpness and accuracy.
• Perform minor maintenance and replenish consumables.
• Provide good customer service to maintain accounts.
• Follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
• Package and wrap completed work for delivery to customers or next department.
• Report mechanical failures to Production/Branch Manager.
• Load and unload print materials and maintain a safe environment.
