Job summary

RR Donnelley in Des Moines, IA is seeking a large format press operator to safely set up, operate, monitor, troubleshoot and maintain our large format presses and finishing equipment to produce high-quality printed products.

You will read job tickets, prepare files, verify paper stocks, monitor job output quality, perform routine maintenance, and coordinate with leadership to meet production schedules. We offer competitive pay, benefits, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

Operate, set up, and adjust the large format digital press for a variety of print jobs and substrates.
Operate, set up and adjust the flatbed digital cutter.
Monitor print quality and make adjustments to meet customer specifications.
Troubleshoot equipment, print quality, and production issues to minimize downtime.
Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the press and related equipment.
Read and interpret job tickets, layouts, and production specifications.
Ensure accurate front-to-back registration on two-sided printing jobs.
Verify correct paper stocks, substrates, and materials prior to production.
Monitor machine status, error messages, and consumable levels.
Complete required production, maintenance, inventory, and quality documentation.

Responsibilities
