Job summary

DCG ONE in Seattle is seeking a skilled Large Format Cutter Operator to run and maintain a range of finishing equipment, including flatbed and XY cutters, plotters, and laminators. You will ensure high-quality output, balance workload, troubleshoot basics, and communicate machine conditions clearly with the team.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience operating large format finishing or printing equipment.
• Knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, RIPs, and cutting software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operates Large Format Cutters: Kongsberg, Fotoba, Graphtec.
• Operates Large Format Finishing Equipment: Seal, Segal.
• Assists loading/unloading of Large Format Printing Equipment: Vutek, Epson, Canon.
• Builds and maintains understanding of print media, cutting parameters, and finishing techniques.
• Tracks quantities and versions of printed items to be cut, laminated, and/or finished.
• Communicates finishing requirements to the Prepress Department.
• Occasionally supports packaging of finished items.
• Performs daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance routines.
• Supports inventory management and order consumables for finishing equipment.
• Contributes to team workshops and training events.
• Attends and participates in team production meetings.
• Identifies and assesses quality defects in media, print, cutting, and finishing.
• Follows standard protocols and contributes to development of new internal processes.
• Provides exceptional service and support to sales and project management teams.
• Handles heavy rolls and rigid sheets of print media safely.
