Job summary

PADNOS is seeking a Large Equipment Operator in Grandville, MI. The role involves safely operating heavy equipment (switch trucks, mobile cranes, loaders, trac-mobiles) to support yard operations, loading and preparing materials, and maintaining records. A valid driver’s license is required and the position is outdoors.

Position Summary:

Our Large Equipment Operator are responsible for safely operating various types of heavy equipment, including but not limited to switch trucks, hydraulic cranes, mobile cranes, loaders, and trac-mobiles. This role supports daily yard operations by moving, loading, and preparing materials as needed. The Equipment Operator is expected to actively demonstrate and support PADNOS company values while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. A valid driver’s license is required.

Schedule

• Monday - Friday, Weekend as needed
• 4:00pm - 2:30am

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment to load and unload incoming and outgoing trucks or railcars and move materials to designated areas
• Maintain basic production, inventory, shipment, and equipment maintenance records as required
• Identify and distinguish between different grades and types of materials
• Inspect incoming and outgoing loads and assist with material grading when applicable
• Assist with hand-sorting materials as needed to support yard operations
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

• Minimum of six months of experience operating large equipment
