Large Enterprise Solution Engineer - GEO

We are seeking a proven Large Enterprise Solutions Engineer to provide technical leadership throughout the enterprise sales process. You will serve as a trusted solution and technical advisor, ensuring successful deployment and adoption of Smartsheet products. This role offers a career-defining opportunity to make a significant impact, requiring a track record of technical leadership, excellent customer-facing skills, and experience in consultative solution sales engineering.

This position is part of the Enterprise Solutions Engineering team and reports to the Manager of Large Enterprise Solutions Engineering.

You Will:
  • Partner with enterprise sales teams to own the technical sales process supporting the sale of Smartsheet’s SaaS platform to large enterprises.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, providing advice and guidance to prospects and current enterprise users.
  • Design and develop creative solutions tailored to customer requirements using Smartsheet.
  • Represent Smartsheet’s technical capabilities to prospects, support evaluations, and ensure scope and timelines are met.
  • Travel periodically to customer sites, serving as a technical resource and engaging with IT professionals on integration and data questions.
  • Develop deep expertise in Smartsheet’s workflows and solutions for key functional areas such as Project Management, Sales, Marketing, and HR.
  • Serve as a front-line expert for best practices and technical issues, ensuring prompt follow-up and resolution.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Product Management to develop solutions, advocate for customer needs, and provide input on product features.
  • Assist in preparing technical responses, FAQs, and knowledge base entries; define best practices for enterprise-wide usage.
  • Achieve and exceed performance targets.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
You Have:
  • 5+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer in SaaS or enterprise software.
  • Passion for web-based technologies and a desire to understand and demonstrate Smartsheet’s functionalities and use cases.
  • Experience creating MS Excel-based solutions for collaboration, workflow, or project management.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to quickly build credibility and resolve technical issues.
  • Experience participating in complex enterprise sales processes.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth software environment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%.
  • Proficiency with Clarizen, Planview, Workfront, Smartsheet, MS Projects, Google Apps, Salesforce, Asana, and Excel.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

Salary range: $105,000 - $142,500 USD, determined by experience, skills, and location, with market-competitive incentives.
