Large Enterprise Solution Engineer - GEO

We are seeking a proven Large Enterprise Solutions Engineer to provide technical leadership throughout the enterprise sales process. You will serve as a trusted advisor, ensuring successful deployment and adoption of Smartsheet solutions. This role offers a career-defining opportunity to make a significant impact, requiring a track record of technical leadership, customer-facing skills, and consultative solution sales experience.

This position is part of the Enterprise Solutions Engineering team and reports to a Manager of Large Enterprise Solutions Engineering.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Partnering with sales teams to support the technical sales process for Smartsheet’s SaaS platform in large enterprises.
  2. Providing expert advice and guidance to prospects and current users.
  3. Designing and developing creative solutions based on customer requirements.
  4. Representing Smartsheet’s technical capabilities and supporting evaluation processes.
  5. Traveling periodically to customer sites to serve as a technical resource and engage with IT professionals.
  6. Developing deep expertise in Smartsheet workflows and solutions for key functional areas.
  7. Serving as a front-line expert for technical issues and best practices.
  8. Collaborating with Marketing and Product teams for solutions development and product feedback.
  9. Supporting the creation of technical responses, FAQs, and knowledge base entries.
  10. Achieving and exceeding performance targets.
  11. Performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer in SaaS or enterprise software.
  • Passion for web technologies and a strong understanding of Smartsheet’s functionality.
  • Experience creating MS Excel-based solutions for collaboration and workflow management.
  • Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to build credibility and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Experience in complex enterprise sales processes.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
  • Proficiency with Clarizen, Planview, Workfront, Smartsheet, MS Projects, Google Apps, Salesforce, Asana, Excel.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

Salary range for US-based roles: $105,000 - $142,500 USD, determined by experience, skills, and location. Incentive opportunities are also available.
